THE PREFERRED HOTEL GROUP TAKES ON NEW DIRECTOR OF GROUP SALES TO SPEARHEAD THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GROUPS MARKET
14th June 2005 - The Preferred Hotel Group has today announced that Sheri Mead will be joining the organization as Director of Group Sales with the specific responsibility of delivering quality, incremental group business and leisure travel to member hotels. The Preferred Hotel Group is a multi-brand organization that delivers high-performance sales, marketing and technology solutions to more than 300 luxury independent hotels in over 50 countries through its brands - Preferred HotelsŪ & Resorts, Summit Hotels & Resorts, Boutique and Sterling Hotels.
Sheri joins the Preferred Hotel Group from the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau, where she was Sales Manager responsible for group sales. Prior to this role Sheri spent eight years on the 'planning side' at the American Bar Association where she was responsible for the development and management of on-site activities for 50+ annual educational programmes that had attendances ranging form 25-800 people.
Sheri's role at the Preferred Hotel Group will include the critical task of promoting member hotels to existing clients as well as expanding the client base to further increase revenue from the groups market for member hotels.
