Landmark Historic Hotel becomes the First New Member of 2007
CHICAGO – January 18, 2007 – Preferred Hotels Group is pleased to announce that The Hotel Majestic, a five-star luxury property located in downtown Barcelona, Spain, has joined the membership of Preferred Hotels & Resorts. The prestigious and historic Majestic Hotel, located on "Passeig de Gràcia" in the center of the shopping and financial district of the city, became Preferred Hotel Group’s newest member on January 1, 2007, and its first property on the Iberian Peninsula. With 303 elegant rooms, 273 executive rooms, 22 junior suites and eight luxury suites, the hotel is affectionately know as “the Art Hotel", showcasing an impressive art collection which guests can admire throughout every corner of the hotel. The Majestic is home to The Drolma, one of Barcelona’s most popular fine dining restaurants which has consistently been awarded one star by the Michelin Guide since 2002. The Drolma has also been the recipient of "The Best of Dining" Award for the Restaurant with the Best Product in Spain 2002, the Gourmetour Award for the Best Maitre in Spain 2003, and has received three “Suns” in the Campsa since 2004.
Another spectacular amenity to this five-star property is the rooftop swimming pool and bar located on the tenth floor of the hotel.
